TrustCity
The TrustCity project aims to create smart cities that people trust. It provides a secure, transparent, and verified model for engaging people in smart cities and communities. The TrustCity project builds a federated business model and provides a solution which focuses on digital solutions to enhance civic mobilization and engagement. Implementing of TrustCity solution in synergy with current City&Me services will in short time provide secured digital tool for local democracy where users can actively participate in shaping the city’s policies, projects and initiatives. The new technology will be tested among a group of 12.000 people in the City of Nis. Once the testing is complete, it will be ready for implementation in other WB6 countries, as well as in European countries. The TrustCity digital solution will comply with eIDAS/eIDAS2, EBSI and GDPR.
- Motivation for the project: The proposed technology blocks are essential for the TrustChain ecosystem to enhance citizen engagement and democratic participation. The DAO system ensures secure and transparent participation in city policies, while the city token rewards program incentivizes active participation with tangible benefits. eID/eIDAS verification enhances security and compliance with GDPR and EBSI standards. Combined with the City&Me platform, these tools create a scalable solution for connected, informed, and active citizens, supporting resilient smart cities and the European Democracy Action Plan.
- Generic use case description: The TrustCity digital solution, as result of this project, will extend current City&Me capabilities to Web3 components including Web3 smart contracts, token creation rules, community management dashboards, tokenomics guidelines, eID and eIDAS-Node integration. With this digital solution connected with proven City&Me platform, the TrustCity as Web3 community will enhance civic mobilization and engagement through the transform and enhance democratic decision-making in urban areas.
