In this interview, we meet the TAC! team, driven by a shared passion for food and a commitment to transparency in the agrifood sector. With a blend of expertise in IT, international business, and user-centered product design, the team is developing Enismaro—a solution that harnesses IoT and blockchain to bring real-time traceability from farm to fork. Through their participation in TrustChain, the team is not only refining its technology but also helping shape a more trustworthy and transparent digital future for food systems in Europe.

Can you briefly present your team?

Enismaro is co-founded by Marco, Isabella and Rossella D’Addeo. Three siblings with the same shared passion: an immense love for food.

Marco brings over a decade of experience in IT analysis, software architecture, and emerging technologies, including blockchain, machine learning, and AI.

Isabella’s expertise lies in international business development, marketing strategy, and multilingual communication.

Rossella’s work spans various technologies and platforms, giving her a diverse and adaptive technological perspective. In Enismaro she manages product logic, ensuring functional consistency and user-centric design.

The core team is supported by specialized consultants in blockchain, IoT hardware, UX/UI design, together with financial advisors and sales support.

How did you come up with this project idea and what benefits will it bring to the end users?

The idea for Enismaro was born from the growing demand for transparency and trust in food supply chains.

Inspired by the need to answer a simple question—”Where does our food come from?”—we created a solution that uses IoT and blockchain to trace food from farm to fork.

The main benefit to end users (both consumers and businesses) is increased trust, product quality assurance, and transparency through real-time traceability and verifiable data.

How is TrustChain supporting your growth and what role does it play for the next steps in your development?

TrustChain provides not only financial support but also strategic mentorship and a platform for collaboration.
The funding helped us strengthen the core technology stack and accelerate our market readiness.

The network and visibility we gain from TrustChain are vital as we prepare to scale our operations and explore new partnerships within the NGI ecosystem.

Why did you apply to the TrustChain call and has your vision changed since then?

We applied to TrustChain because the call’s focus aligned perfectly with our mission—leveraging blockchain to enhance trust and transparency in digital ecosystems.

While our core vision remains the same, working within the TrustChain program has really much broadened our perspective.

What is the most valuable takeout from the TrustChain project and why was the topic of the Open Call important to you/your team?

TrustChain’s third open call came at the right moment for us.
Its focus on data trust, fair value exchange, and decentralized governance reflected what we were already building with Enismaro. The biggest takeaway has been the opportunity to connect our work in agrifood traceability with a broader community working on making the internet more trustworthy.

It confirmed we’re not just solving a niche industry issue — we’re contributing to a much bigger shift in how digital ecosystems treat value and transparency.

What are your expectations regarding the TrustChain software ecosystem and its contribution to the NGI priority areas?

We expect TrustChain to deliver usable, open infrastructure. For us, that means faster integration of secure, decentralized tools into Enismaro. But more broadly, TrustChain is helping push Europe toward a future where digital ecosystems are ethical, human-centric, and transparent. That’s exactly the kind of ecosystem we want to be part of.

What are the next steps for your team?

Expanding into European markets beyond Italy. Strengthening partnerships with certification bodies and retailers. Scaling customer acquisition with a focus on wine, olive oil, and produce.

What is the message you would give to new and potential applicants to TrustChain Open Calls?

If you’re building something that’s solving real problems — and you’re doing it in a way that puts users, trust, and fairness at the center — apply.

TrustChain isn’t just about funding; it’s about being in the room with people who are shaping the future of digital trust in Europe. You’ll get visibility, feedback, and a chance to plug into something bigger than your product.
