- Motivation for the project: eIDAS 2 compliant solutions, such as those in the TrustChain ecosystem, not only enhance user privacy but also improve business processes and reduce fraud-related liabilities. Despite their potential, these technologies are not widely adopted. CertiShop aims to bridge this gap by providing an accessible and safe platform for organizations to become Certificate Authorities, allowing them to create, issue, and manage certificates for various purposes using compliant protocols.
- Generic use case description: This platform will bring a user-friendly interface for professional associations to issue and manage members credentials as compliant verifiable credentials.
-
Essential functionalities:
CertiShop enables organizations to:
Design verifiable credentials and customize their attributes.
Issue and manage these credentials dynamically.
The platform is composed of:
A no-code dashboard for easy certificate design and management.
An SDK for developers to integrate CertiShop functionalities via API requests. - How these functionalities can be integrated within the software ecosystem: The platform will firstly serve professional associations (pilot with APBC) to finetune its features but the end goal is to provide a validated (from a legal and technical standpoint)generic interface for organizations to manage their Verifiable credentials.
- Gap being addressed: he project addresses the complexity and lack of incentives to use DID technologies. CertiShop simplifies this through an intuitive interface and targets organizations that can significantly improve their processes by adopting SSI and DID technology.
- Expected benefits achieved with the novel technology building blocks: This projects aims to add the interface layer to the existing TrustChain ecosystem of DID and SSI technologies by providing a legally and technically validated solution for credential issuance and management.
- Potential demonstration scenario: CertiShop adds a critical interface layer to the TrustChain ecosystem of DID and SSI technologies. It provides a solution that is both legally and technically validated for credential issuance and management.
