Spotlight on Innovative Security Approaches: TrustChain at Prominent Tech Events

Professor Rajarajan Muttukrishnan presenting his expertise, university and mentoring work at two significant technology conferences in the UK, focusing on critical advancements in digital identity and IoT security.

First in the series of events dedicated to findings from a recently completed Rapid Evidence Review (RER) focused on trustworthy digital identity, the upcoming Turing Agenda-Setting Workshop on UK Interdisciplinary Research in Digital Identity will take place on Friday, May 10, 2024. Prof. Rajarajan, partner and mentor in TrustChain project will delve into his experience and findings from the TrustChain project, a cornerstone initiative backed by the NGI (Next Generation Internet) program of the European Union, aims to enhance digital trust and security. The project plays a pivotal role in advancing secure, decentralized technologies, ensuring users’ privacy and trust across digital interactions.

Additionally, the IDM June 2024 conference will be hosted by Whitehall Media on June 18, 2024, where Prof. Rajarajan will take the stage to discuss “Zero Trust Continuous Authentication using Device Identity.” His talk will address the critical challenges and solutions in securing IoT devices, which are becoming increasingly prevalent in our daily lives yet often lack the capacity to handle complex security protocols.

Professor Muttukrishnan’s insight into zero-trust security models comes at a crucial time. As the founding Director of the Centre for Cyber Security for Society at City University of London and a Senior Member of the IEEE, his extensive background in identity management, cloud security, and privacy-enhancing technologies positions him among throught leaders in the field. His presentation will shed light on some of the recent work in extracting unique hardware features to continuously authenticate these devices among themselves and with the end user. Securing the future mobility infrastructures connecting thousands of internet of things devices.

Attendees of both events can look forward to gaining valuable insights into the evolving landscape of digital security and the pioneering approaches that are setting the stage for a safer, more secure digital future.
